Job Posting – Instructor, Certificate in Case Management

Position Description:

CCE is currently seeking part-time course instructors to join our existing pool of instructors for the certificate in Case Management program. In this role, you will deliver the program indicated according to the designated schedule; perform required research; manage the online course dynamic; provide feedback; and liaise with the CCE staff regarding the course and program objectives.

Course Format:

The programs’ five courses are taught online via McMaster University’s Learning Management System (LMS). Courses vary from 8 or 14 weeks in length.

Instructor Responsibilities:

Contribute to ongoing design/development of course materials and content in a way that complements other course offerings in the program

Participate, as required, in meetings/discussions related to course design/improvement

Design assessments required as part of the course offering including but not limited to assignments, exams, rubrics etc.

Provide formal and informal feedback/evaluation to students including the grading/evaluation of assignments/exams

Complete all required preparation prior to session delivery including but not limited to the development of lesson plans, ongoing research related to the session topics, and material reviews

Deliver session content according to course schedule using effective instruction and facilitation techniques

Customize sessions as required during course delivery to better meet the needs of participants/students

Adapt facilitation style to meet the diverse needs of the participants

Correspond with students via McMaster’s LMS as required during the course offering

Make adjustments to facilitation and instructional style based on feedback received by students

Complete all required correspondence and administrative tasks.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be a professional with case management experience and must hold a Master’s degree in a related field of study. Current designation or accreditation from professional association, or credentialing body is an asset. Experience teaching and/or training in adult education is additional asset. Additional requirements include broad sector knowledge, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, proven research skills and problem-solving ability, excellent computer/technical aptitude, and a demonstrated ability to enable others to learn.
